(so there is no confusion) 2. state that you are not going to tell any of your friends and that its up to him to tell his friends. 3. if you really want to keep him as a friend tell him he can tell everyone he broke up with you, that will definitely not hurt his feelings and leave your friendship open. However this will leave you vulnerable, so tell him to text you his answer back. Keep a record of his text so that if he ever turns on you, you will always be able to prove the truth. That you were letting him down easy.
