Does anyone else think Dan Simmons' Hyperion Cantos should be considered an all-time clic?
The four books that comprise the Hyperion Cantos (Hyperion, Fall of Hyperion, Endymion, and Rise of Endymion) are not only full of well-written and powerful prose, but they encomp a broad range of philosophical, moral, and religious topics seldom seen in modern fiction. I think most readers who understand the multi-layered language and imagery in these books would agree that, taken as a whole, the Cantos is a masterful piece of artwork, capable of conveying life-changing inspiration. Do you agree?
