Can we come to understand not all Mormons are freaks?
I have a highly controversial bone to pick. As a gay californian agnostic man, I am pummeled with the fact that marriage will likely be taken away from s. Okay... After learning that the most devout of LDS had donated huge sums of money to ping proposition 8, my automatic initial feeling was pain and resentment. But wait. I have very many mormon friends and these are good normal people. They practice a faith, like any other faith, which all seems weird in comparison to the next man's. I have come to realization it is probably harder to be a mormon in america than a gay man. My heart is going out to the LDS common man, For while a majority of LDS does donate to p prop 8, It is out of their hearts, And I really think its only a few extremists who are intent on promoting vindictive constitution. I have run across many articles that demonstrate that this proposition has actually SPLIT the church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Because many who belong understand that a state law should have nothing to do with personal values and morals to whom are personal. I wanted to take the moment of dedication just to try and smooth the reality out a little bit. Now I ask... Does anyone think these things will ever smooth out?
